Create your own holiday photo cards with Shutterfly!

It’s that time of year again- the time when I get to create the card that I will send out to all of our family and friends to celebrate the holiday season. Each year I stage a mini photo shoot of my family(or sometimes several depending on the moods of my children, ha!) and turn it into a holiday card to mail out. I love the entire process! I coordinate their outfits, I con them into grinning, and I snap away. It’s fun to take my own photos, and doing it myself instead of purchasing from a studio saves me quite a bit of money as well. Then I upload the photos to an online photo shop and get creative with an online photo service. I have tried a few different websites over the last few years, but the one I am most in love with is Shutterfly. Why? I like Shutterfly for several reasons:  the designer cards(think Martha Stewart), the wide range of themes from modern to traditional and from Christmas to New Years and everything in between… the fact that I get to type my own message and not be stuck with whatever came with the print…there’s just something about their style that I really like. Also, the paper quality is better than several of the other printers that I have tried.  I take alot of photos for families, and I always suggest Shutterfly when customers ask for a cost effective and professional printing service.  If you haven’t tried Shutterfly yet, I encourage you to give it a whirl. You can choose one of Shutterfly’s  Photo Christmas Cards , Holiday Cards , or design some Stationary Cards that reflects your family’s personality and share it this year. Shutterfly also frequently has sales, offers, and discounts available. I will be sure to let you know if something good comes this way.  I can’t wait to make my cards this year….and I promise to do my best to send them out before New Years! 😉

per FTC regulations, I am required to inform you that I am compensated by Shutterfly with free products as a thankyou for sharing my opinions on their products. My opinion is not changed by this fact, my opinion is my own!

Thank you to Our Veterans!

Today is Veteran’s Day. It is a day to remember those who have served our country and those who have sacrificed so much. The men and women who have sacrificed their time, their freedom, and even their lives for us, deserve to be honored on this day and every day. Remember the soldier who was drafted into service and risked everything to fight for the ones who stayed at home. Remember the soldier who chose to fight because his country was under attack. Remember the soldier who fought because he felt it his duty to serve- to DO something so that most of us don’t have to fight ourselves. Remember the soldier who left his new wife at home and the one who watches his children grow up in photos. Remember them, and appreciate what we have been given. Freedom is NOT free, and it is because of our Armed Forces that we are able to enjoy the liberties we have today. Remember the soldiers, and live with an attitude of thankfulness. May God continue to bless America, and may God be with each and every one of our service men and women.
